A session paused when I switched apps

That's by design. Sylph has no background service and no notification — when you leave the app mid-session, it pauses and waits for you. Come back and tap to resume; it re-syncs with a short countdown so your breathing starts fresh on the inhale.

I don't feel anything / I don't hear anything

Haptics are on by default; sound is off by default. Both can be toggled from the session screen or from Settings. If your device has no vibration motor, the haptics toggle won't appear. If your device's motor doesn't support variable strength, Sylph falls back to a rhythm made of pulse timing instead of pulse strength.

I bought Pro and it shows locked

Open Settings → Restore purchases while signed into the Google account that bought it. Pro is a one-time purchase tied to your Google account, not to a device.

Why isn't Sylph asking for any permissions?

Because it never needs to prompt you. Its manifest carries only the standard install-time entries that Google Play billing, Google Cast support and the haptics (vibration) require — none of them ever shows a prompt. There is no camera, microphone, storage, location or notification access.

Why does a free session stop at 5 minutes?

Sessions up to 5 minutes are free forever. Sylph Pro unlocks 10-minute sessions and an open-ended "until I stop" length, along with every technique, theme and the custom pattern builder.

How do I get Sylph?

Sylph is on Google Play in early access. Request an invite on the early access page — we add you within 24 hours, then you install from Google Play, with Sylph Pro free while early access lasts.

Send them in — Sylph stays small and private, but the technique and theme library will keep growing (Pro includes everything we ever add).
